Home Remedies for Oily Skin

Oily skin is a result of overactive sebaceous glands in some people. These glands secrete a waxy or oily substance called sebum. While sebum is essential for keeping your skin protected, healthy, and hydrated, too much of it can lead to oily skin.

Some natural remedies to remove oil from face

1- Wash Your Face

Wash your face with water twice a day and also do not overdo the washing. Try to avoid using soaps or moisturizers as these may cause your skin to produce even more oil.

2- Honey

Honey is also a natural emollient which helps to keep the skin moist but not oily. Using your fingertips, massage raw honey over your face and leave it for 20-25 minutes before washing it off.

3- Blotting papers

Rather of washing your face as soon as you see it becoming oily, use a blotting paper to absorb out the extra oil from your face.

4- Egg mask and lemons

Egg whites and lemons are a state remedy for oily skin. Both ingredients are deemed to tighten pores. Lemons are rich in citric acid which helps shrink the pores and controls sebum production.

5- Aloe Vera

Aloe vera displays astringent and moisturizing features that help in toning the skin by decreasing the volume of the pores.

6- Jojoba oil

Jojoba oil is a state remedy to treat oily skin, acne, and other skin problems. It dupes your skin into producing lesser oil.

Oily skin can be handled very well if you follow the above tips.
